ipod video

IPods have been a great market hit since their appearance in 2001, almost 5 years ago. Since listening to music is one of the favorite activities of today’s individuals, the constant evolution of this device was an important request, so the new product presented a diverse range of new features, accessories and capacities. The iPod evolved from a simple and basic music player to a complete music player, recorder, and photo viewer and now to a both music and video device.

The most important new feature of the latest generation of iPods, meaning the 5th generation, is the video. Basically, these inventive and technologically advanced, yet small devices support both MPEG-4 and H.264 videos at significantly high resolutions, which are not far from a VSH tape. Actually, in more precise terms, the H.264 codec can play video at frame rates up to 30 frames per second, video bit rates as high as 768 kilobits per second and pictures as big as 320 pixels wide by 240 pixels high. Comparing the iPod video with the TV 27 FPS or the movies 24 FPS, it is obvious that the small device it is far better. Regarding the audio qualities, comparing to a CD quality, the iPod video is vastly superior. On the other hand, the MPEG-4 video supports a bit rate of 2,500 kilobits per second and pictures as big as 480 pixels wide by 480 pixels high, meaning three times the size of the actual screen (in comparison with the H.264 video, which supports pictures the same size as the screen pf the iPod).

The reviews on this item are so far, excellent – the quality of the motion images is great, with almost perfect colors, even when the device is connected to a TV set in order to watch a video. Even more, watching the videos on the actual iPod is possible due to a larger screen, which also allows the high visibility of sharp texts and photos. Still, even though the battery is claimed to last around 20 hours, which is an evolution since the last iPod model, the battery is much rapidly consumed when watching videos.

video ipods

The range of improvements since the last model of iPod is impressive: the new video iPod comes with a new design, but in the same black and white colors and with a new set of accessories, which range from world clock, smaller earphones and a thinner slipcase to AC adapter and FireWire cable. Concerning the new package design, the iPod video comes with a new look: the box is flat and in a square shape; the color of the new box is black with silver accents, such as the Apple logo and the text.

The latest generation of iPods surprised the market in many ways: from the video capacities to the other improved features since the last model in 2005 and from the design and package changes to the wide and evolved range of accessories that are available together with the new iPod video. The continuing evolution of the iPod shows an increased interest in constantly developing this device and always considering the needs and desires of the consumer. It is expected that the next generation of iPods to be even more optimized, with a lot of changes in the video settings and a longer capacity of the battery when watching videos.

Can Amazon Retain Its Top Position In The E-Book Marketplace?

Currently there are a large number of manufacturers jostling for position in the relatively new, but rapidly growing, e-book reader market. The high level of competition is a clear indication of the level of growth expected in this sector. And this strong competition is going to be good for consumers as manufacturers fall over themselves to improve specifications and offer lower prices.

There is an impressive list of major manufacturers with e-book readers in various stages of development – and in some cases, ready for imminent release. Sony, Asus, iRex, Plastic Logic, Barnes and Noble – not to mention Microsoft and Apple – are all lined up and jostling for their share of the market.

There’s not much doubt about the current market leader of course. The Amazon Kindle reader has not only dominated the market, but has been pivotal in its development since it was launched in November 2007. Now into its second iteration with the Kindle 2 and the large screen Kindle DX, Amazon has secured a 60% share of the American e-book reader market. The Kindle reader is now their number one product and, on October 19 this year, after what seemed like a long wait, they started shipping the international Kindle 2 to over 100 countries worldwide. In a way, it’s a kind of backhanded compliment to Amazon that almost every new e-book reader that is announced (and there are plenty, the list above is far from exhaustive) and which shows any promise whatsoever, is immediately named the “Kindle Killer”. Right now, the Kindle is setting the benchmark which must be achieved, and then bettered, in order to achieve success.

In case anyone feels that the Kindle’s current dominance is bordering on unassailable, it’s probably worth remembering that Amazon were a pretty late entrant to the market when they first launched the Kindle. The first e-book reader is generally held to be the Franklin eBookMan which launched in 1999 – a decade ago. The Sony PRS was also available prior to the Kindle’s 2007 launch.

A variety of factors made the Kindle such a huge success for Amazon. In the first place, Amazon had a strong association with books, being one of the biggest online retailers. They also had a huge selection of books available for download – they currently offer over 300,000 titles on their Kindle store. The wireless connectivity facility – with no ongoing fees – was also a big selling point.

However, just as Amazon came from nowhere to take the lead position, some of the other contenders could just as easily do the same. For example, Barnes and Noble have more than one million titles available for download to their new Nook e-book reader. They will also adopt the ePub format – which most readers under development seem to be using. The Kindle format is proprietary. Pick a Kindle book – read it on your Kindle.

The Nook will also allow you to “lend” books to your friends and family for a fourteen day period. During this period, the borrower will be able to read it and the lender won't have access to it on their Nook – just like lending a “proper” book actually. The only difference is that you will be guaranteed to get it back.

The next generation Sony reader – the Sony Daily Edition – will be a large display format, like the Kindle DX, but unlike the DX it will have touch screen control options. It will also allow users to download e-books from participating public libraries on loan. Again – just like a proper book.

Most of the other readers in development have a number of features that may make them more appealing to consumers than the Kindle. Amazon have a fight on their hands – and it seems sure that they won’t relinquish their top position without a fight. Given their innovating role in the development of the market thus far, and considering the importance of the Kindle ebook reader to their business, it seems reasonable to expect them to have a few new ideas yet to be unleashed.

At the end of the day, given the level of activity amongst all of the various manufacturers, it looks as if the e-book reader market is about to start growing even faster. Let's hope that the fierce competition that is currently unfolding will drive down far enough enough to move e-book readers out of the geek domain and into the mainstream personal mobile tech market.

Take a Look at This to Learn New Means To Utilize Your MP3 Player

Without a doubt you are aware that an Archos Mp3 player can be used for a lot more than just storing and playing your preferred songs. Your MP3 players can be used as an educational tool as well, a virtual mobile university if you will.

Just like all of the other persons do who acquire an MP3 player I did what I was supposed to do. I took all of the music that I loved which was stored on my computer and placed it on my player. It was truly nice having all of my tunes available to me whenever I wanted. What I didn't know at the time was that I had a ton of knowledge at my fingertips that I wasn't even using. I determined to download some motivational MP3s to my MP3 player.

I then decided that I'd love to listen to some motivational MP3s while I was in my car. I didn't know how I could do it yet, as my car only had a cassette player and radio, but I soon found an adapter that allowed me to plug in and start listening to my mp3's in my car. It did not take any time at all and I was takingfull advantage of the fact that I could now fully enjoy all of my motivational teachings all from the drivers seat of my ride.

Most people enjoy listening to the radio while they are in their car and as an alternative to the radio, I normally took along some of my preferred cassette tapes. This wasn't always an effective method to get myself motivated for the long days at work though. The cure and remedy for this was my car adapter MP3 player.

I was able to take advantage of and learn from many people who had a lot of inspirational stories to share. It kind of gives things a diverse perspective. This gave me a nice and uplifting look at things and helped to set my brain straight and positive throughout the entire day. This became my daily routine to which I quickly became addicted and there is genuinely no turning back from it.

I'm certain that you truly enjoy listening to music on your MP3 player, but you might just want to give listening to some self-improvement, educational or motivational content a try.You might find it will fill your day with a new and positive outlook.

Know More About How To Choose an Ebook Reader

The advent of the digital age has definitely made this world a more convenient place to live in. For instance, even the most avid reader would balk at the thought of bringing his favorite books with him wherever he goes. But with an electronic book reader, you don't only bring your top five books, you get to take the whole library with you. It doesn't matter if you're traveling or just having a cup of coffee at the nearby café, your books go with you everywhere. However, owning an ebook reader could cost you a few hundred dollars, and if you want to get your money's worth, you should definitely get one that is best for you.

The cheapest of ebook readers still have yet to breach the sub-100 dollar mark. But you can find some readers for just over 200 dollars. This may be all you need from an  ereader depending upon how heavily you plan to use it. Don't expect a battery that will last for an entire transatlantic flight, however. If your job  requires lots of traveling or down time, you may want something slightly nicer. You can expect to spend nearly 500 dollars for the higher-end models. The new Amazon Kindle DX, for instance, is the biggest and most advanced of  its kind. While many people don't want to spend that much, you do get a lot more when you pay more. If you're really looking to go crazy, you can even buy  models like the Flepia for over 1,000 dollars.

Whether you spend 200 dollars or five times that, the important thing is you get the ebook device with the features you need. Otherwise, it would all be a big waste of money. A battery that lasts long and a screen that’s easy on your eyes are some of the basic things that you would want to look into. If possible, try using the device before making the purchase. Even the most expensive ebook readers may not be the perfect fit for you.

More often, what is left unnoticed when it comes to its features is the reader's file compatibility. For example, not all readers are capable of reading PDF files, which is one of the most popular file format nowadays. This would then limit the libraries that you may get your ebooks from. If you opt to use Sony readers, they would have a library which has about a hundred thousand books, while Amazon's Kindle would allow you to gain access to over 250,000 books.

It's really not that much of a challenge to find the best ebook reader for you. All you have to do is to get more information about the device before purchasing it. If you think getting a device with a higher price would do you best, think twice. If you are looking for a pleasant touch screen feature you may opt to purchase a Flepia although the thousand-dollar price tag may be too steep just for that feature alone. The decision is yours. You'll just have to make the right choice. By not focusing on the features but the use, you'll definitely find one that can meet your expectations and your budget.

Will the Sony PRS-600 Spell Disaster For the Amazon Kindle?

The Amazon Kindle is known in tech circles as the ebook reader to beat, according to the Amazon Kindle review. With its closest competition coming out with two new e-readers, the Sony PRS-300 and the Sony PRS-600, will the Kindle be finally given a run for its money? Not all details are known of these two new devices to hit the ebook reading industry, but there's enough data released to keep us intrigued and waiting. First, Sony itself has verified that it is indeed about to release two new e-readers. Then, some actual features were leaked to the public – features that could get Amazon a bit worried.

As a consumer, the price would be your utmost concern. Kindle 2, which is known for being an older model ever since Kindle DX was introduced in the market, is available for about 260 dollars, while the newly released Sony PRS-600 is nearly at the same price. Looking at a marketing perspective, what Sony is trying to do here is to target consumers who are not willing to spend almost 500 dollars to purchase a Kindle DX but are looking for newer options. Sony claims that they would also be identifying themselves with the 9.99 dollars price for both new releases and best sellers, confirming the company's intention to compete with Amazon. With their pricing scheme, Sony certainly has a lot to offer.

One of the features worth looking into with Sony's new electronic book readers is the touch screen feature. The only other e-reader where this feature is found is the 1000-dollar FLEPia. The touch screen allows you to take advantage of additional space where buttons would usually occupy. This indicates that the device would then be lighter and a bit smaller. The screen is about 6 inches in size, and a mere 10 ounces. Its thickness is about 4 inches. It is compact, yet is more advanced compared to other readers that you may come across.

You would probably also be excited to check out if this device indeed has a flexible screen. While Sony hasn't confirmed on this feature yet but the manual itself states that there are flexible features of the device. This has then lead to various speculations that the device consists of an unbreakable and yet a bendable screen, a great breakthough in technology.

Speculation is all well and good, but it is the hard facts that have people intrigued about the Sony PRS-300 and Sony PRS-600. The Sony PRS-600 comes with  freehand writing via a stylus, a built-in dictionary, a library software suite that supports both Mac and PC, 380mb of storage with possibility for expansion  and a battery life up to 7,500 pages. That's all very extraordinary given the modest price. While the details are still not entirely fleshed out by Sony, it is  clear that Amazon is going to have some competition. With the Sony PRS-600 and it's little brother the PRS-300 getting ready to hit the market, potential  buyers might just be holding out a little longer on that Kindle 2 they've been watching.

Seriously Cool Bond Gadgets

With the latest Bond film being planned for release next year, here are some great spy gadgets that will satisfy anyones spy fantasies. Shame they don't come cheap though.

Land Rover Defender 10 (£67,850) - This car may not look wonderful, however, it could take a punch, or anything you want to throw at it really. The 4×4 beast of a car has armour plating on the sides, front and rear all capable of withstanding 5.56mm plus 7.62 mm rounds. Plus, as standard the car comes with bullet proof glass, providing you with that little extra protection during the school run. If you're worried about the odd grenade or mine, nothing to worry about, the bottom of the car can protect you from both.

Tornado Night Vision Goggles Generation 2 (£3,162.50) - Although these may be pricey for a pair of goggles, with these goggles you won't fall over anything in the night. If you like boys toys, Tornado Googles are for you. These state of the art goggles have 2 eye pieces and one night vision tube. Also, there are different lenses available if you want to zoom in. All of this power can run on 2 AA batteries. The perfect Christmas gifts?

Taser C2 (£248) - This one of those gadgets for non UK residents really as it is illegal in the UK, unless you're a policeman. The Taser C2 is a stun gun that allows you to zap your target by shooting a C2 cartridge at them. The powerful lithium battery is good for 50 uses, plus the whole thing fits in your pocket.

Spy Camera Glasses (£89.99) - Some covert cameras now, they are normal sun glasses, however, these come with a 1.3 megapixel camera built in. The sunglasses also include 1 GB of memory which can store up to 1000 pictures. That is not it, the glasses also come with built in earphones so you can listen to your favorite tunes while stalking people.

Anyone that facies themselves as a 007 agent should own some of these gadgets. There's only one problem with the Land Rover, it doesn't look like an Aston Martin.

Review - Panasonic TH-50PX75U 50-Inch

Panasonic TH-50PX75U 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

PanasonicTH-50PX75U50

Panasonic VIERA S1 Series TC-P65S1

Toshiba57LX177

I've had this TV for 5 days now. I've spent almost all of those days cruising around the HD Tier of my local cable company. As a lot as the image goes, it is simply beautiful. I've done a giant quantity of tinkering with the settings. Not for the reason that I will't find the combination which I am keen on, but because I simply felt prefer taking element in around with it plus comparing the different configurations. Do yourself a like and make certain the first thing which you are doing is amendment the mode from "Vivid" to one thing else. "Vivid" is the factory default and a sensible quantity of doubtless set which method to spice up the attraction level for the showroom.

I started out by just using the calibration settings from http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com for the TH-50PX60U:

Picture Mode Standard
Picture +22
Brightness +8
Color -1
Tint -4
Sharpness -fourteen
Color Temperature Heat

Here gave the image a hotter, added realistic feel right off the bat. Skin tones were far added realistic once calibrating to these settings. The TH-50PX75U is, for each one intents plus purposes, the identical TV as the TH-50PX60U from last year with the previous having a few added features.

I even set to play around with the "Custom" mode and use the above settings as beginning points. I determined to adhere with the on high of settings for the time of year being as I obtain them a good quantity of pleasing to the eye. Overall, the black levels appear terribly sensible showing detail in the dark areas as well and the final color is vivid. The picture appearance terribly crisp and you get that "realism" factor that I even have essentially only felt while researching plasmas and LCDs. Other technologies of HDTVs have not given me that "realism" feel.

In November 2006 I went low cost plus entered the globe of HDTV with an Insignia thirty-two-in., 720P, LCD screen from Best Obtain along with upgrading to DirecTV's 1080i package. My 1st reaction was, "This is sweet", but not as in "niiiiiiccccce!" Four months later the Insignia's screen starts to act-up, and that's after I say to myself, "Let's do it right this time."

My wife and I were watching some Hi-Def shows last night and could not keep from saying "Wow!" regarding each twenty minutes. Even with simply relying on the TV's speakers it felt prefer we were there. Played round with the colors, brightness, etc, at that was easy enough with the on-screen interface. The couch is concerning one hundred ten" from the TV, thus the fifty" screen was a smart size. Wouldn't want to go bigger, but glad we did not get the 42".

Also glad I spent the extra $400 and got the 2007 model that's every one black rather than the 2006 model which had silver trim. The Insignia had silver trim, thus naturally I currently equate silver trim to "low cost".

As I don't consider myself an audio/video aficionado, I didn't hesitate to spend money currently on a 720p system rather than waiting or spending additional on a 1080p system. I am a splash worried regarding screen burn-in, but if this may last beyond five years then I will be very happy.

Samsung UN55B8500 Product Review

Samsung UN55B8500

 Samsung Un55b8500

Samsung UN55B7000

Panasonic TH-50PZ850U

Currently I’m journeying to introduce a brilliant cool HDTV to you guys, it is Samsung UN55B8500, that, in fact, has been a bestselling TV on Amazon, added plus additional individuals are crazy regarding it, I’m pretty certain it would be super favored quite soon, so I feel I’d better share it with you guys today. Well, let’s discover out what’s actually spectacular during this Samsung HDTV.

The Samsung UN55B8500 is that a 55? HDTV with a seven,000,000:one Dynamic Distinction Ratio, it's nice for family use, regardless of big family or tiny family, it looks simply perfect. The only disadvantage is a value is very luxury, we’ll speak concerning this later.

Image performance, advanced connectivity, and an eco-friendly and stunning design return along with the Samsung UN55B8500 fifty-five-in. LED HDTV to achieve a high level of image quality in addition to give a distinctive and immersive entertainment experience. Using Light-weight Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as its primary lightweight supply–rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL)–this innovative HDTV also offers the benefits of an ultra-high distinction ratio plus a slim depth that allows for a additional clever design. And the 8500 Series even includes innovative LED Native Dimming technology, which selectively turns blocks of LEDs off to render perfectly true blacks while others are left on to generate added lightweight so as to specific pure whites.

The 8500 Series features Samsung’s new Net@TV on-line content service. Developed with Yahoo!, Web@TV uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection to access content onscreen from Yahoo!, Flickr, YouTube and more with the push of a button.

To clarify I own this tv and am not just basing this review on time spent in an exceedingly store browsing. This tv has been hard to return by and the final solely place I can obtain that had it in stock was my native Best Obtain together with a Magnolia section.

Style: Samsung is noted for his or her sleek style and this tv is no exception. Samsung says it's a charcoal bit of color but I really didn't find any color during the bezel. It's black plus goes to clear at the outer edge. It sits on a metal stand with a clear neck holding the tv. At the underside middle of the tv below where it says Samsung is which a blue light that may be turned off. I realized the light glints ever so slightly when a command is distributed from the remote you're using. The tv is VERY slim. Purely 1.6" at it's fattest point. This can be amazing considering this tv is a totally backlit LED unit with native dimming. Really superb plus a style that may have your friends jealous.
