I am receving this error when trying to convert my physical windows xp machine to a vm using vmware converter standalone 5.o: FAILED: An error occurred during the conversion: 'BlockLevelVolumeCloneMgr::CloneVolume: Detected a write error during the cloning of volume \WindowsBitmapDriverVolumeId=[83-D9-83-D9-00-00-10-00-00-00-00-00]. Error: 209 (type: 1, code:
13)'

This appears to be due to a bad block on the hard disk or at least some inconsistencies in the mapping tables of the windows os. I am going to run chdsk with repair option to see if I can resolve the issue and then run vmware converter again.

This answer by Bill works well. The only answer I have found that does work. I simply view Markup, make a change, undo it and save the file.

The Application_start method is only called when the application is atarted and since generally Visual Studio leaves the web server running between debug sessions, this function will only get called once. A simple workaround is to touch global.asax after the debugger is attached in order to force an application recycle. Then during the next request, the break point that you set on Application_Start will be hit.

In Computer Management:
1. right-click on the queue you wish to view
2. click properties
3. click the security tab
4. click advanced
5. click Owner tab (take note of who the owner is currently)
6. change owner to you (if you are not in the list, click Other users or groups and add yourself)
7. Once you are owner, go back to the Security tab and give yourself full permissions.
8. Set the owner back to the original owner.

That should do it.

9. WordPress. Are you a blogger who is constantly on the go? WordPress now has a mini-me iPhone app version that you can use to update your blogs wherever and whenever you are.

10. Zenbe Lists. If you are fond of making lists and sharing it with other people, Zenbe Lists is the iPhone application for you. Zenbe Lists allows you to create, well, any list that you want beyond the simple to-do list and grocery list, and then share it with someone else via iPhone or the Internet. The people whom you have shared it with can modify your lists as well.
